Madeleine L’Engle, Children’s Writer, Is Dead

Read the article from the New York Times.

Although I'm not actually a big fan, and there are many of her books I haven't read, I will say this lady was quite the author!

  1. Oh, I'd not heard that.

I've never gotten into her books, but I know many who love them.

    May her Memory be Eternal.

  2. Eternal Rest grant unto her O Lord.

I felt a loss hearing that she'd died. I loved the Wrinkle in Time books I read as a kid, and I am priviledged to have an autographed copy of "Many Waters".

While I suspect we'd have disagreed a bit theologically, I just loved her stories. And one line from the cantankerous cheribum in "A Wind at the Door" has stuck with me all thru the years: "Love is not what you feel, it's what you DO"

Wind at the Door was my favorite of all her books.
